WOMEN'S TENNIS BEATS GARDNER-WEBB 4-3
The Bruins Host Florida Gulf Coast on Friday

     

Boiling Springs, N.C. – The Belmont women’s tennis team picked up their second conference win of the season as they defeated Gardner-Webb on the road 4-3 Saturday in Boiling Springs.

The Bruins won the doubles point as they picked up wins at the number two and three positions. In singles, Belmont won three matches to clinch the match victory. Whitnie Warren won at number two over Jenny Gomez 1-6, 6-3, 6-2, while Tatiana Pozo won at number three over Rita Guveia 7-5, 3-6, 6-0. Abby Leatherwood’s win at number six over Allie Mills in straight sets clinched the victory for Belmont.

The Bruins (5-9, 2-6) are back in action on Friday as they host Florida Gulf Coast at 2:00pm.
