List of All-Conference Honorees

Macon, Ga. - The most decorated golfer in Belmont history captured some more hardware on Monday as senior golfer Lorie Warren was named Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Golf Player of the Year as voted on by the conference's head coaches and media relations directors. It was the second straight year Warren has won their award and she becomes just the fourth Atlantic Sun golfer to earn the award in consecutive years. In addition, the Hendersonville, Tennessee native was also a unanimous choice for the All-Atlantic Sun first team.

Warren, who graduated last Saturday from Belmont with a degree in Management, is the first Belmont female athlete to be named conference player of the year in consecutive years during the school's Division I era and the first golfer, male or female, to earn All-Conference honors four times. During the 2008-09 season, Warren was highest ranked A-Sun women's golfer in the Golfstat rankings, led the conference in scoring with a 74.16 scoring average, and won three individual titles. For her career, she won nine individual championships, finished with a career scoring average of 75.3, and holds school records for lowest 18, 36, and 54-hole scores, lowest season scoring average, and lowest career scoring average.

"I am pleased that Lorie's hard work over the past season has been rewarded with this honor," said Lissa Bradford, Belmont head coach. "She has been key to moving this program forward over the past four years and we appreciate her efforts."

During the 2008-2009 season, the Bruins posted seven top-10 finishes as a team with a season-best second place at the Eat a Peach Collegiate last fall.
