She offers a support system to the players and is crucial to the recruiting efforts of the program. Brown Wynn has been a highly-successful recruiter for the perimeter, helping to attract some of the region's top players to Belmont to continue the excellence she has helped establish. In addition to her duties related to recruiting, Brown Wynn coordinates individual workouts for perimeter players. Brown-Wynn has been a key contributor to the development of the guards during her 11 years at Belmont. Under her guidance, several Bruin perimeter players have garnered numerous accolades. Most recently, at the conclusion of the 2006-07 campaign, Amber Rockwell was ranked in two NCAA Division I statistical categories - 63rd in three-point field-goal percentage (35.4) and 95th in three-point field goals per game (2.0). She was one of three Atlantic Sun players to be ranked nationally in these two categories. For the first time since joining the A-Sun, Belmont saw two of its players named to the All-Freshman Team -- Tereva Moore and Shaunda Strayhorn. Moore finished her rookie season ranked third on the team in blocks (13), defensive rebounds (95), and field goals made (97). She was also 20th in the conference in rebounding (4.5 rpg). Strayhorn, who was also named to Atlantic Sun All-Tournament Team, was ranked 21st in the conference in scoring (9.1 ppg), fifth in free-throw percentage (.778), 10th in three-point field goals made (39) and 14th in three-point field-goal percentage (.264). During the 2004-05 season, Jenny Conkle set two records and tied a third. En route to scoring 32 points, she set a Belmont record and tied A-Sun conference game record for three pointers made in a single game (9-on-13 attempts). She finished the year as the number one three-point shooter among all NCAA Division I players, averaging 3.1 per game. Guard Hollie Davis finished second in A-Sun history in three-point field goals made. Several other guards under her tenure have received numerous accolades. Natalie Brown became a two-time Atlantic Sun All-Conference selection including first team honors as a senior. Brown was also selected as second team All-Independent as a sophomore after the 2000-01 season. During that same year, backcourt mate Tara Montgomery received a first team All-Independent selection. Erica Davenport was tabbed to the A-Sun All-Freshman team during the 2001-02 season. Davenport was named Beach Classic MVP after establishing a new scoring record in a Beach Classic game with 34 points. She finished her career in the top 20 in steals and three point field goals made. Five of Belmont's top-10 in career three-point field goal percentage were instructed by Brown Wynn, including Leah Primm, who holds the top spot at .414 from downtown. Brown-Wynn graduated from Mississippi State University in 1993 after being a four year starter at point guard for the Lady Bulldogs. After graduating, she joined the coaching staff as a graduate assistant in 1994, before becoming a full assistant in 1995.
