TENNIS TEAMS LOSE AT HOME TO USC UPSTATE
The Brins Travel to Mercer Next Week

     

Brentwood, Tenn. – The Belmont tennis teams fell to USC Upstate in matches played indoors Saturday night at the Wildwood Club in Brentwood. The women lost 5-1, while the men fell 4-0.

In the women’s match, the Lady Spartans won five of the six matches played to lead 5-1. Since the match was clinched, the three doubles matches were not played. The lone win for the Bruins came at number three as junior Whitnie Warren (pictured right) defeated Emilia Milovanovic 6-4, 6-3.

On the men’s side, the Spartans won the first four singles matches and with the outcome determined, no other matches were played.

The Belmont women (3-7, 0-4) are back in action on Wednesday as they travel to Mercer. The men’s squad (0-9, 0-4) will play again on Saturday at Mercer.
