BELMONT BASKETBALL SUMMER CAMPS
A LETTER FROM BELMONT HEAD COACH RICK BYRD
We are all looking forward to seeing everyone at camp on Monday, June 8 at the Curb Event Center on the Belmont University campus. Registration is from 7:45 am until 9:00 a.m. in the Maddox Grand Atrium of the Curb Event Center. I have included our camp website address: http://www.belmontbruins.com/basketballcamps for help in locating our buildings and parking garage. Go to the top of the webpage and click on the campus map. To register Monday, please park in the garage and exit the garage on the 3rd floor. The atrium entrance will be right in front of you as you exit the garage.
PLEASE READ THE INFO BELOW CAREFULLY
There will be separate lines for those who owe a balance and those who have paid in full. If you owe a balance, please have your check written and made payable to Belmont Basketball Camp. This will help us get everyone through the line much quicker. For those who paid the $50 deposit, your balance will be $180.
You should bring $5 to put in the camp bank for drinks at break time throughout the week. You can pay that at registration. They will get lemonade or Gatorade at a break in the morning and in the afternoon. We will not sell candy or snacks. Do not bring candy or snacks. The campers will get enough to eat at lunchtime.
Leave hats, valuables, jewelry and your own basketball at home. Wear your basketball gear and be ready to play. Please wear basketball shoes that will not leave black marks on the floor. Do not bring bags or gear that you will have to leave here during the day. There is no place to store personal items.
CHECK IN PROCEDURE
On Monday morning, please park in the garage and bring your child in for registration. When you bring campers each morning from Tuesday through Friday, you can park in the garage and enter the Curb Center with your camper or drop them off in the area located near the Northeast corner of the Curb Event Center as noted on the map. That area is on a Belmont campus road that runs between the Curb Center and our soccer field. We will have counselors there to greet the campers and ensure their safety.
PICK UP PROCEDURE
Our daily pickup procedure is as follows: In the afternoon, when you pick up at 4 PM, you must park in the garage and walk out of the garage into the atrium to pick up your camper. Your child will be with his group counselor inside the Curb Event Center on the concourse. In order for a child to leave, the adult who will take the child home will go to the campers group and indicate to the counselor that you are picking up. The coach will then release the child to the responsible adult. Please talk to your child about only leaving with you or the adult they know is going to pick them up. If you are more than ten minutes past the 4 PM release time, your child will be on the basketball floor. We will have coaches here at 7:45 a.m. each day for early arrivals and we will stay until 4:30 p.m. each afternoon.
AWARDS CEREMONY
Camp on Friday ends with an 11:30 awards ceremony but we will stay if necessary until 4:00 to help working parents if they cannot get their child early that day. Please advise by Thursday if your child will be staying that afternoon.

CAMP OBJECTIVE
Our goal is for each camper to improve in the fundamentals of the game of basketball, to develop sportsmanship skills and to have fun in an atmosphere of encouragement from our staff.
Make sure you find out what former campers and their families thought about last year's sessions by reading camper testimonials.
For the third straight year, the camp will be held within Belmont's state-of-the-art arena, the Curb Event Center. Last year, nearly 250 campers enjoyed Belmont Basketball Camp.
