Jimmy Frush was hired as the Director of Athletic Marketing and External Affairs at Belmont University in October 2009.
Frush brings a wealth of experience to Belmont, spending the past decade in a variety of roles within intercollegiate athletics.
Most recently, Frush served as the Director of the Mustang Club at Southern Methodist University. At SMU, he was responsible for all fundraising, direct marketing, and special events for the Mustang Club, the annual fund organization of SMU Athletics. During his tenure, Frush increased annual fund drive commitments by 32 percent and spearheaded the third-highest annual gift total in Mustang Club history.
Previously, Frush worked as the Associate Director of External Operations for Athletics at his alma mater, Texas Tech University. In that role, Frush managed the External Operations Corporate Partner Porgram and oversaw dealings with the Texas Tech Sports Network. He also supervised areas of athletic marketing, advertising, public relations, and licensing.
Frush's professional resume also includes time as the Director of Partnerships & Foundation Relations for Plano ISD in Plano, Texas.
Frush was a four-year letterwinner in baseball at Texas Tech University, earning summa cum laude honors in History. He was a two-time GTE Academic All-America selection.
Following his undergraduate studies, Frush was drafted in the 19th round of the MLB Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Phillies, pitching for the Batavia Clippers Class A affiliate.
Frush also earned a master of science degree in Sport Management from Texas Tech in 2002.
He currently resides in Franklin, Tenn.
