WORK STUDY STUDENTS

The Athletic Training Department employs 4-5 Belmont students each year who are interested in getting experience behind the scenes of Belmont Athletics and have an interest in health-related fields. This is an outstanding opportunity for anyone thinking of pursuing a career in health-related fields such as:

  • Physical Therapy
  • Nursing
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physician's Assistant
  • Biology

  • Job Description: Assist with daily operations of the athletic training room and aid the staff athletic trainers with practices and games, along with rehabilitation of injuries. Also, help with various administrative duties.
  • Requirements: 15 hours per week minimum; some night and weekends. Schedules based on academic classes and sport needs.
  • Student Scholarship: Student workers are awarded a scholarship for their commitment and dedication to the Athletic Training program. This scholarship could range from $500-$1,500 per semester based on years of service and experience with the Belmont University Athletic Training program.
  • WE are looking for students who are ready and willing to learn about the athletic training profession. We want students who are dependable and are willing to make a commitment to the department for one school year.

  • Application Process: Complete an application and return it to Kim Anderson. Once you application has been received, an interview with the Belmont Athletic Training staff will be arranged. All applicants will be selected based on interest shown in the program, experience, application, interview, and flexibility in work schedule.
